HISTORY
Founded in 1906, Hellema Verpakkingen sprang from a bakery that started producing wrappers to keep its own bread fresh. The company is still located in Zaandam in a region of the Netherlands renowned for food refining and manufacturing.
Around 30 years ago Hellema Verpakkingen started specializing in plastic-based packaging, which replaced paper, carton and later on cellophane in many applications. Ultra-modern machinery, e.g. for rotogravure and flexographic printing, laminating and slitting, plus strong expertise in pre-press and design, ensures a strong demand for the company’s foil products from a variety of industries.
